Latest Developer Update seems to have missed something.
Seems that ANet decided not to mention anything about their changes to the Dishonorable system in their latest Developer Update. What gives? The only thing I saw a change in was that AFKing (read "standing still") gives you Dishonor, which hardly sounds like "adjusting the amount of points" when the point values from everything else in the system seems to have not changed.
Oh, and they forgot to tell us anything about the next content update in, what, two or three months now?

It was about the skill changes. The dishonorable system is not a skill.

Even so, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be updated on how the new system works.

I'm just wondering, how can it be bad timing? You have a dog, you know it has to get food.
How long does a match in JQ take, 20 minutes? So you couldn't feed the dog before the game started or the dog would have been starved that far that another 20 minutes without food would have killed it? The result now was you got dishonor and it's not fun for the other players in the team either.
It's the same with kids starting a game and they know diner will be served any minute.

ya.... Reading comprehension is good.
Anyways, it is not always predictable when a dog wants to be feed. As for kids, they are just dumb and want to get as much game play in as possible. They deserve to be punished. But sometimes you have to step away from the game in a rush. Kid gets sick, someone at the door, phone rings, etc. It happens.

It was already adjusted before you could post. I'm a FA fan that's why I made the mistake in the head so big deal.

Some events can not be planned, I agree, but I don't consider feeding the dog one of them sorry, especially because I had a dog myself for many years.

This Dev update clearly misses something - explanation of why certain skills were NOT changed despite being obviously broken, in both PvP and PvE.

you should have at least /dance, so they won't find you "standing still."

Because if they hit SF, the QQ will be eeeeeepic. Won't stop me saying that it needs a nerf, though...

Well its also difficult when your dog is barking, chewing things in your room, barking some more....at least for me it gets me a little pissed off...so i finally went down and fed the bitch...
Typically i would wait to do that sort of thing...But i am one with a quick temper...and it was reasonably hot yesterday xD...Wouldnt want that rubbing off in what i type in game lol...Heck i may have been able to wait but wutever...we won anyway...
Main reason for my post was pointing out the dishonor thing had happened to me...so dont yell at me for doing things other than guildwars at times...
My question is how long it takes for it to give dishonor when afk...

Right, so I'll just use the myriad of party-wide heals available to Ritualists instead. I wouldn't mind this nerf so much if Life wasn't a spirit.

oh i love this one "adjust some skills to encourage tactical use"
Question If your so worried about the Tactical use of skills why do you keep buffing Hex Pressure? Their is nothing "tactical: or skillful about stacking Fire and forget Hexes on people now if you did something like say limit the Number of hexes that can be placed on a Player to say three now they would have to actually think about the hexes they apply for the most efficacy.
but no rangers did not already have enough on there plate with placing a D shot on these hexes. now they have to land make sure Mels Shot hots a moving foe for the most effect.
so way to go a net for leaving the Roll your head across the keyboard builds roll headtastic and making the hardest position in GvG even harder.
More "Tactical" use Who on the balance forums gave you that line?

No idea. But I have been playing FA today and have been dishonored twice. Never once was I ever not playing. I was constantly healing NPC's which means... I am standing in one place! So therefore because I was standing in one place I was "AFK'ing" when really I was healing NPC's the whole time. ANet REALLY needs to rework this whole standing still crap. It's annoying to play an entire game then have to wait because the system decided you were leeching. >< I even tried running around when not healing but still got it. (And no one reported me for leeching)

I don't expect we'll see another content update for atleast four MORE months. September will be my guess. Afterall, Linsey makes it sound like they're still trying to get over the hell that was the first content update. Doesn't look like they've had a lot of time (or havent made much effort) to think about the future.

Also, She notes that Regina is responsible for writing dev updates now. <_< So you could ask her a bout the dis honorable hex thing, but she appears to be mia on the wiki.
Just ask Linsey. She'll share. She's good that way. :P

Hasn't most of the Guild Wars team moved on to Guild Wars 2? I remember reading it somewhere...makes me feel sad though, because ANet makes it seem as if they are going to cut off Guild Wars support for Guild Wars 2.
